The project has created a highly successful interactive,
online learning resource. Digitised objects, photographs,
documents and newspapers, plus the daily journals of
a factory worker and his wife, give a fascinating insight
into life in Tiverton in Victorian times, the Victorian
legacy of industrialization and urbanization and its
influence on local heritage. Find out about factory
life from the Heathcoat factory log book or read a contemporary
account of the death of Queen Victoria. There are e-toys
to play with and e-postcards to send to family and friends.
You can give a magic lantern show, dress Florrie the
Victorian doll, try your hand at decoupage or even interview
a Virtual Victorian.
